A Model Restoration Project and the Route to a Future of the Plaza del Cerro

Join us to hear from Jake Barrow, program director of Cornerstones Community Partnerships, about his work on the Casa Desiderio, a restoration project that he has taken on in partnership with the CCPA. At the museum, Jake will present a short overview on the project, discuss how it evolved and how funding was secured from the Save America’s Treasures program, and show the plan set. We’ll then visit the building site, where Jake will take us through us the impressive work he and his crew have completed to date. He also plans to discuss historic preservation and the potential for gentrification and dissolution of community.
